Maternity photo sessions are a very special way of documenting one of the most precious moments of your life.
These sessions are best done between 28 to 30 weeks of pregnancy and can be done outdoors or at my home studio.
Outdoor maternity sessions are ideal for couples who love natural light and scenic backdrops. Cardiff and South Wales offer a wide variety of stunning locations, from peaceful parks and woodlands to open countryside, making every maternity photoshoot unique. These sessions are relaxed and allow space for genuine moments, soft movement, and real emotion.
For those who prefer a more private setting, I also offer maternity photography sessions at my home studio in Cardiff. Studio sessions provide a clean, elegant look with simple backdrops and controlled lighting, perfect for classic maternity portraits that never go out of style.
If you are wondering what to wear for your maternity photo session, here are some suggestions:
- A form-fitting, body-con dress to show off the shape of your bump.
- Jeans or leggings paired with a loose off-shoulder sweater or cropped top.
- Lingerie is always nice for studio sessions.
- Avoid strong colours. Neutrals, white, and pastels are the best options.
- Choose something that makes you feel beautiful and comfortable.
- If your partner or other children participate in the session, make them wear complementary colours.
