Cardiff has some fantastic outdoor locations for autumn portraits.
Bute Park is one of my favourite choices, with its mature trees, pathways and beautiful autumn colours right in the heart of the city.
Other locations in Cardiff, such as Roath Park, St Fagans Museum, or Parc Cefn Onn, also work beautifully.
If you're not sure where to have your session, don't worry. I'll help you choose a location that works for your family, the type of photographs you'd like, and the time of year.
I also photograph families and couples throughout South Wales, so we can look beyond Cardiff if you have a favourite location in mind.
What should you wear for an autumn photoshoot?
You don't need to buy special clothes for your session.
I recommend choosing comfortable outfits in colours that complement the autumn landscape. Warm neutrals, creams, browns, rust, mustard and earthy tones can work beautifully against autumn foliage.
For family photographs, you don't need everyone to wear matching clothes. Instead, choose a small colour palette and coordinate everyone's outfits around it.

My approach is relaxed and natural. I'll give you gentle direction when needed, but I'll also leave plenty of space for you to interact, walk, play, and enjoy the session together.
